Here’s what to look for to make sure your child is in good hands.
1. Do the Teachers Speak the Immersion Language Fluently?

In a true immersion setting, whether it’s Mandarin, Spanish, or another language, teachers should be native or near-native speakers who can hold natural, everyday conversations with young children. One of the biggest reliefs I had as a parent was knowing my child was immersed in Mandarin all day, but I could still talk with her caregivers in English and get detailed updates. That kind of balance made a huge difference.
