Quynh Nguyen
Director
Ms. Quynh has worked in Early Childhood Education since 2018, both as a classroom educator and as an assistant director of operations. She earned her B.A. in Early Childhood Education from San Francisco State University.
As a leader, Quynh is committed to creating environments where children feel excited to learn and to supporting her colleagues through collaboration and professional growth. She loves being part of the L’Academy community because of its diversity, supportive environment, and the energy that encourages everyone to grow, share ideas, and inspire one another.
In her free time, Quynh enjoys traveling back to the Bay Area to spend quality time with her family.
Esther Gonzalez
Assistant Director/Lead Preschool Teacher
Ms. Esther Gonzalez has eight years of experience working with children. She earned her teaching credential from San Jose City College in 2017. After teaching in the Monterey Bay Area, she moved to Sacramento for new opportunities. She worked as a preschool and infant teacher before becoming third in charge, and now brings her experience to L’Academy. She has a six-year-old pit bull named Odis, loves camping and the beach, and is a proud mom of two.
Sammi Zhao
Lead Infant Teacher
Ms. Sammi holds an Associate Teacher Certificate and a Certificate of Achievement in Child Development, Infant & Toddler Care. She has experience as a home child teacher assistant and spent several years volunteering in a family daycare before joining the L’Academy Elk Grove team. Ms. Sammi is a mother of two and is excited to be studying and working in a field she loves!
Chunxia Lin
Lead Infant Teacher
Ms. Chunxia is originally from Guangdong, China, and has over 20 years of experience in early childhood education. She loves working with children and finds every stage of their growth to be exciting and full of surprises. Her passion for this field has driven her to continue learning since immigrating to the United States. She holds a Teacher Permit and an Associate Degree in Child Development and Family Studies.
Fun Fact About Ms. Chunxia: She loves planting, as she believes caring for plants is much like caring for children—both require love and patience to grow!
Joselyn Gutierrez
Lead Toddler Teacher
Ms. Joselyn found her passion for teaching while volunteering in schools. She earned a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development and has six years of experience with toddlers. Now a Lead Teacher at L’Academy, she loves helping children grow their language skills. A fun fact about her is that she has a Frenchie dog she jokingly calls Instagram-famous
