Meet Our Staff
Ms. Chealese
Director
Since 2014, Ms. Chealese has worked in Early Childhood Education, bringing over 10 years of teaching and leadership experience. She is dedicated to helping children thrive by creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment where they feel supported and confident.
What she loves most about working at L’Academy is being part of a supportive community that encourages learning, growth, and meaningful connections with families.
In her free time, Chealese enjoys playing guitar, singing, hiking, and exploring new outdoor adventures.
Ms. Stefani
Lead Infant Teacher
Ms. Stefani is from California, but she spent the last few years living in Arizona, where she worked with children in different communities. Her favorite part about working with children is seeing them learn new skills every day.
Ms. Stefani spends most of her time at home with her husband and their three cats — two tuxedos and a very vocal Siamese. She also loves going on trips to find the best camping spots, and so far, her favorite has been Albion by the beach. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting and reading.
Ms. Alison
Lead Toddler Teacher
Ms. Alison has years of experience working with children ages 2-6 in both center-based programs and her family childcare home. She holds an A.A. in Early Childhood Education and is pursuing a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development at Sacramento State. Passionate about early education, she enjoys being part of children’s discoveries at L’Academy. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, learning, spending time in nature, and with her rescue dog, Riley.
Ms. Silvina
Lead Preschool/Pre-K Teacher
Ms. Silvina has been a preschool teacher for seven years. Her goal is to create a classroom where students feel free to express themselves and have fun while learning. On weekends, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, and they are all huge Disney fans! As a preschool and Spanish Immersion teacher at L’Academy, Ms. Silvina is dedicated to providing a safe learning environment with a well-balanced curriculum while supporting parents, teachers, and the community.
Ms. Jade
Mandarin Teacher
Ms. Jade is a mother of two and moved from the Bay Area to Granite Bay a few years ago. She previously worked at a bilingual preschool in the Bay Area and deeply believes in introducing children to new languages early in their development. Inspired by her mother—a lifelong teacher—Ms. Jade developed a love for working with children and finds great joy in supporting their growth and learning.
As a Mandarin teacher at L’Academy Preschool, she is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment for all children and is committed to supporting families, staff, and the school community. In her free time, Ms. Jade enjoys skiing, swimming, crafting, and gardening.

Why Parents Love L’Academy
My son absolutely loves it here, and I feel confident knowing he is in a safe and nurturing environment. The staff provides regular updates and photos throughout the day, which I greatly appreciate. Now that he’s 18 months old, I’m excited to continue watching him grow and thrive in such a wonderful setting. Highly recommended!
He’s not only speaking English and Mandarin but also he can speak and sing in Spanish now. Our son told us he loves school all the time. Nothing makes us happier by knowing that he is not just safe but also growing up in a very positive environment!
My family moved from overseas and keeping Spanish in my son’s vocabulary was so important to us and L’Academy made that a top priority. All of the teachers were patient and attentive and loving. My son talks about his teachers when not at school. We love L’Academy.
It was an immeasurable load off my shoulders as a worried first-time mom to know that every day my baby spent with L’Academy was a day she was safe, well cared for, and learning something new and exciting. Thank you.
