Director: Danni Feng
Ms. Danni is originally from China, living in San Francisco for the past 20 years. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Ms. Danni graduated from the City College of San Francisco with an Associate of Science degree in Child Development. She also earned a site supervisor permit. Her bilingual skills and diverse cultural understanding enrich the learning environment, fostering inclusivity and effective communication with children and families from various backgrounds. She brings 12 years of extensive experience in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) field to her role as the preschool director. Throughout her career, Ms. Danni has held various roles in early childhood settings, from substitute, classroom teacher to administrative leader. This diverse background allows her to understand the unique needs of both children and staff, fostering a supportive and effective educational atmosphere. She emphasizes the importance of social- emotional development, ensuring that each child feels valued and understood. Outside of work, Ms. Danni enjoys singing karaoke and cooking with her husband. She also enjoys working out with her two teenage children.
Teacher: XiaoQin Huang
Ms. XiaoQin is an experienced and dedicated educator who was born and raised in China. Ms. XiaoQin developed a deep love for teaching from a young age. She pursued her passion by earning her Bachelor degree from ChongQing university of education in China, followed by a Master degree with a focus on education. After completing her studies, Ms. XiaoQin embarked on an enriching journey in the field of early childhood education. She gained valuable experience working at a prestigious Chinese American international school in Beijing, China, where she honed her skills as an educator and embraced a multicultural learning environment. She is eager to contribute her diverse experiences and cultural perspectives to L'Academy, enriching the lives of young learners and fostering a love for learning that transcends borders. In her free time, she likes to take her two preschool-aged children to playground and park. She greatly enjoys spending time with her family.
Teacher: Jina
Ms. Jina is bilingual in Mandarin and English. She has been dedicated to teaching Mandarin since 2013. She began her teaching journey at a Sunday Mandarin school and an afterschool program, where she developed a passion for early childhood education. Later, she became a performance art contractor to teach Chinese Folk Dance to young children for the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD). Ms. Jina has been working full-time in a preschool setting since 2022. she is a highly enthusiastic and creative preschool teacher with a passion for nurturing young minds and helping them grow. She enjoys creating her own teaching materials, designing flashcards for fundamental Mandarin characters and words, and making educational posters. At her spare time, Ms. Jina loves cooking for her family, especially making homemade noodles, dumplings, and pancakes, which her family adores.
Teacher: Carrie Tan
Ms. Carrie has more than 16 years of experience of teaching young children. She holds an AA degree in early childhood education. As a bilingual preschool teacher fluent in both Mandarin and English, Ms. Carrie brings a unique set of skills to the classroom that allows her to communicate effectively with children. Her teaching philosophy is centered around the idea that learning should be fun and meaningful for young children. She loves to incorporate hands-on activities, songs, and games into her lessons to keep children engaged and excited about learning. She believes in fostering a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where each child feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family. She has two children. She likes to read
books to them.
