Meet our Staff

Regional Director: Selene

Ms. Selene has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2013 as an educator in the classroom, an education coach for teachers and a mentor for college students. She received her B.A degree in Early Childhood Education and her M.A in Organizational Leadership in Education from the University of San Francisco.

As a director in L’Academy, Ms. Selene is dedicated to building a safe learning environment with a well balanced curriculum for all children and she is committed to lead and support our parents, teachers, and the community. Outside of the school, she is a highly talented painter who gravitates towards painting abstract art as well as portraits. Her favorite quote: “I am not born in one corner, for the whole world is my native land”.

Teacher: Jaja

Ms. Jaja has been working with young children as a teacher since 2016. She has earned her degree at San Jose City College and took her Masters in Early Childhood Education at California State - East Bay. She is a lifelong learner and enjoys teaching.

Ms. Jaja believes that children acquire their knowledge and skills through their experience in their environment. If children are taught patience and kindness, they will grow up being patient and kind. Children possess so much potential for greatness if taught to love learning. During her free time, Ms. Jaja enjoys gardening as well as creating arts and crafts.

As an Assistant Director/Teacher, Ms. Jaja is dedicated to creating a classroom environment filled with materials that will teach children to love learning.Her favorite quote: “Do not confine your children to your own learning because they were born in another time.” -Chinese proverb

Teacher: Megan

Ms. Megan has a B.A. in Technical Theatre and an M.Ed. in Community Arts, with a focus in theatre.

She has been teaching for over ten years, spanning from using theatre in the classroom to teaching children about computers and circuitry after school to creating unique curriculum that encourages toddlers to thrive developmentally.

In her free time, Ms. Megan enjoys lounging with her two cats and dog, catching fun musicals that come to town, and crafting!

Teacher: Hope

Ms. Hope was born in Guilin, China and has been living in the San Francisco Bay area for over 20 years. Ms. Hope holds B.A degree in Child Development  from San Francisco State University.

Ms. Hope has been teaching in the dual language immersion environment for almost 10 years. She is dedicated to build a loving and care environment for young children.

Teacher: Jiang

Ms. Jiang was born in Nanjing, China and has been teaching in the Early childhood education field with focus  on language immersion and Chinese pronunciation for more than 5 years.

Ms. Jiang believes every child has their  own way of learning. She often uses different teaching methods and various educational approaches to foster children’s learning habits. She is dedicated to building a loving and caring environment for young children.

Teacher: Stephanie

¡Hola a todos! My name is Señora Mendoza, I am Mexican-American. I was born and raised near Los Angeles, California; but my family is from a small town in Jalisco, Mexico. I live locally with my husband and my little girl. In my spare time, I love to go out with my family and enjoy exploring new places. We also love going to games to cheer on our favorite teams (I am a Dodgers fan, but I will let you know my husband loves the Giants). I am excited to inspire young minds to become creative thinkers, and look forward to meeting you!

Teacher: Sun

Ms. Sun was born and raised in Taiwan, Ms. Sun has been teaching in the Early Childhood field for more than 10 years. She loves working with children from age infant to 5 years old. She loves to interact with young children and focus on art and craft. Ms. Sun is a talented artist and facilitated many young children art and craft festivals in Santa Clara county.

Ms. Sun is looking forward to playing and having fun with your child in the classroom and supporting the learning in many ways!

Teacher: Melani

¡Hola! Ms. Melani was born in Lima, the capital of Peru. She studied psychology with a focus on education and has worked with children for over four years. She finds great joy in supporting children through their developmental stages and is passionate about fostering their growth. Known for being dynamic and responsible, Ms. Melani enjoys singing, dancing, and exercising in her free time.

She is excited to inspire young minds to become creative thinkers and looks forward to meeting everyone!

Teacher: Emily

Ms. Emily was born and grew up in Taiwan. She is a caring and experienced teacher who works hard to create a loving, educational, and safe space for young children. She is good at planning fun activities, making sure everyone is healthy and safe, and building strong, positive relationships with both children and their parents.
